I spent a little time this week conquering a long time fear of mine…to bake sandwich bread. It actually was pretty easy and so tasty. And opened up a whole world of bread possibilities. These were hamburger rolls made for dinner one night. So much better than store bought.

I have been working on this charm quilt from Cherry Christmas charm packs! So quick and is going to be a nice winter/Christmas quilt to pull out this time of year!

I am loving the colors!

We ran out of wipes this week and made a new batch. Thought I would share how we do it here on the blog. You can find the recipe for all natural baby wipes made with coconut oil here. So cheap and easy!

Took my new bread making skills and put them to work with one of the pretzel recipes floating around pinterest. We had a Octoberfest meal complete with beer brats and peppers, sour kraut and these pretzels with cheese. It was a fun Saturday afternoon project and once you make these pretzels you will never buy one of those $4 ones from the mall!:)

We recently got introduced to a book called Before Five in a Row which is such a fun idea for my littles that i knew they would love. You read the same book with them every day of 1 week and do a different activity having to do with the book. Making memories and teaching them to love books and literature. Some folks use it for part of their preschool/kindergarden homeschool but i thought it would be fun just to add a little structure and meaning to our daily readings. We had so much fun reading “My Big Green Pocketbook” this week and I honestly couldn’t print off the online activities fast enough. They kept asking “what’s our next activity mom?” “can you print another one?”

We made pom pom magnets to go along with some of the online printable. Just a magnet on the back of a pom pom then stick to a cookie sheet! There are do-a-dot printables all over online. Or they can just do a little art with them. Fun!

What have you been up to this week? Be sure to leave a comment so I can hop on over to your site and pay you a visit! Happy fall!
